Update Details: The Internal Audit Training Toolkit has been updated to include various training exercises so this toolkit can now be used if planning a full onsite or remote internal audit training course.
The toolkit now includes 100+ files including a folder of files from the fictitious company 'alphaZ manufacturing' which are to be reviewed by training course trainees when completing the internal audit training exercises. To make sure that the trainees are given the opportunity to identify some areas of improvement we've made sure that some of what has been going on at alphaZ manufacturing is a wee bit dodgy so there are plenty of opportunities to raise issues and then discuss whether these are non-conformances or just something that needs further review.
A Trainer Guidance file has also been included and this provides guidance on what files and prompts should be given to the trainees when completing the training exercises as well as comments and notes on the issues that could / should be identified.
A fully completed internal audit checklist has also been prepared but as this could completely defeat the purpose of the training exercises if it is viewed prior or during the training we've decided to not include these files with the toolkits and have instead saved them to the Sample Data Files folder.
Note - There was some debate about the findings, auditing is pretty subjective after all, so we've decided that these answers may not be the final and only completed checklists that we're going to post and they have all been marked as being completed by Iain (the ISO 'expert' from our knowledge base) and we may post alternative checklists from other contributors in the future.
